Parallel Thoughts

Book By Rolyat Mosi

The collection of these reflective writings comes with my discipleship and great appreciation of Jalal al-Din Rumi and Kahlil Gibran. These two writers have inspired my ecstatic appreciation for some of my own creative thoughts put into writings. These writings are based on several Rumi writings and Kahlil’s “The Madman.” There are 28 writings that have the influence from the writings of Rumi. There are 39 writings that have the influence from writings of Gibran’s Madman’s collection of 36 of Parables and Poems.

Rumi’s writings on life and us as human beings, his exposes on man and woman and his spiritual falcon lost from the wrist of its eternal King, stirs many similar thoughts spun from my own mind. My life-long friend, Ms. J, introduced me to Rumi’s writings. From many of these, I share my own commentaries of like thoughts. Rumi held insights that are from the same mind that I travel in my writings.

I became cognizant of Gibran in my youth through an introduction and constant quoting of the Gibran’s “Prophet” by Alma R. Woods (affectionately known to me as Ma’Woods). This Writer became enthralled by Gibran’s “Prophet” and later sought out and found more of Gibran’s works. These reflective writings of this collection bounce close enough to what the writers noted but are truly deep feelings of the author’s heart.
